Get Involved

We have all been gifted in various ways. Why not use your gifts in the service of others?

Are you able to give time and get more involved in the mission of the parish? There are different ways you can do so.

Our parish often needs talented people in the following fields: photography, video, listening, languages and translation, cooking, I.T., welcoming tourists …

Why not get involved in one or other of the following activities and groups:

  • Liturgical activities: ministry of readers, Eucharistic ministers singing, welcoming.
  • Decoration (flowers) and cleaning of the church
  • Fundraising
  • Sacramental preparation, catechists for the Sunday School and school chaplaincy
  • Scouts
  • One of the prayer and sharing groups
  • Charitable activities: Welcoming Room, Notre Dame Refugee Centre, Sandwich Service
  • Evangelisation activities

Homeless

Sandwich Service

A team of volunteers welcomes homeless people in the parish centre. We provide sandwiches, hot and cold drinks and perhaps more importantly an opportunity to chat and relax for a few hours.

On average we welcome over a hundred guests on

Saturdays between 10.30-14.30

Maison Pierre Chanel,

Parish Centre,

16 Leicester Square

London WC2H 7NH

If you would like to volunteer, then contact:

Cinema Club

If you are interested to spend an afternoon with our homeless guests with a good movie and popcorns, then you can!! As part of our homelessness outreach we normally screen a movie once a month from 3.00pm to 5.30pm. We need at least two volunteers to run the Cinema.

Visits

Do you remember Yolande Cantu?

She was well known in Notre Dame de France for her energy and concern for the lonely and anyone else in need of some personal contact.

Do you know any former members of NDF community who would like a visit? We are looking especially at the elderly, the house bound, or any others who would like to keep up contact with Notre Dame de France.

For further information, please contact info@ndfchurch.org
